Attendees will experience the key aspects of the RISE theme as we go through the Hero’s Journey. The seminar is designed to strengthen and inspire as we build to the process of claiming and writing our own story, with the culmination of the Warrior Photoshoot.
Attendees will be pampered by the amazing Paul Mitchell Design Team as they help connect us to the strength of our warrior-within through hair and make-up design reflecting medieval warriors. (The team comes with ideas ready, but feel free to create your vision of what you want and share it with your designer.)
The Warrior Project photographer, Jane Merritt Link, will help put you at ease and guide you to create the photos that will be a powerful reflection of your strength to overcome and RISE. She will provide you with stunning photos to remember your experience and reflect on whenever you need a reminder of what you are capable of.
Costumes: (Medieval Time Period)
You will provide your own costumes. Props such as swords, bows and arrows, and basic costume pieces (e.g., corsets, gauntlets) reflective of the time will be provided by the Warrior Project.
Note: A simple dress will work well as a base. Then adding pieces like corsets, gauntlets, and jewelry can help create the look. It doesn’t have to be expensive.
Hale Center Theater in Orem is offering their costumes at a discount for those attending the event if you choose to rent them.
This is a Pursuing Perspective sponsored event.
